Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xi Daerji (ranked 4841 p4p, 25438 weight class) and Amir Sedaghat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Xi Daerji! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Amir Sedaghat! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sedaghat lands a high kick!
Daerji closes the distance and clinches. Daerji displaying some good clinch control by pressing Sedaghat up against the cage. Daerji has Sedaghat pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Daerji pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sedaghat tumbling to the mat - Daerji dives into Sedaghat's guard. Daerji throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Daerji won't allow Sedaghat to get back to his feet. Daerji showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daerji gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Sedaghat scoring well with a low kick there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sedaghat slaps away a takedown attempt from Daerji, before circling back to the center of the mat. Daerji tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sedaghat swivels and escapes. Daerji fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sedaghat to the ground. Daerji is now in Sedaghat's guard. Daerji thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Sedaghat is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sedaghat can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Daerji controls the pace. Daerji landing some decent shots from guard. Daerji is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sedaghat is wriggling around but Daerji manages to pass to half guard.
Daerji has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Daerji escapes and gets back to his feet. Sedaghat stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sedaghat wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xi Daerji. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown attempt by Daerji or perhaps it was just good defense by Sedaghat, which made it look bad. Daerji clinches up with Sedaghat and pushes him back against the cage. Daerji pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Daerji manages to pull guard.
Daerji is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sedaghat has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Daerji is proving hard to escape from. Daerji has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sedaghat should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Daerji has tightened it up now! Sedaghat should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
