Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yin Mao (ranked 1658 p4p, 3039 weight class) and Arturo Ellacuria (ranked 178 p4p, 293 weight class). Mao's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, HonestKey- Pass. Ellacuria has chosen The Boss- James Brown as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Yin Mao could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Arturo Ellacuria's chin.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellacuria throws a shot from downtown. Mao moves away and avoids it.
Mao blocks a head kick by Ellacuria.
Mao was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Mao uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ellacuria.
It looked like Mao was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ellacuria.
A head kick misses from Ellacuria.
Mao has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ellacuria finds it's way round the side to connect with Mao's head.
Mao thows a body kick. Ellacuria tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Ellacuria connects with a nice looking jab.
Ellacuria is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mao cracks Ellacuria with a big right hand and Ellacuria goes down!

Mao is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

and Mao lands a stunning uppercut that sends Ellacuria to the mat!
Ellacuria is refusing to be controlled, as Mao sits in half guard.

Ellacuria is staying active underneath Mao, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Mao tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ellacuria knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Mao wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ellacuria keeps working.
Ellacuria pushes Mao off looking to stand but Mao dives back in and keeps control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Mao swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mao jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ellacuria missing with a left hand there. Mao was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ellacuria misses with a looping left.
Mao throwing a counter right hand but Ellacuria manages to avoid it.

Arturo Ellacuria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ellacuria tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ellacuria stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ellacuria throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mao has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ellacuria finds it's way round the side to connect with Mao's head.
Ellacuria finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Nice uppercut lands for Mao. That snapped Ellacuria's head back.
A big right from Ellacuria misses.
Mao throws the left hand but Ellacuria avoids the punch easily.

and Mao scores with a counter punch that sends Ellacuria to the canvas! Mao smells blood - he's punishing Ellacuria with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Ellacuria has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yin Mao!

Arturo Ellacuria spoke after the fight, saying 'Fuck it. I'm doing coke with Diego after this, win or lose, anyway.'.
