Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Faruq Farquaad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eduardo Carvalho!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Farquaad counters with a right hand to the body.
Carvalho shoots in but no luck this time.
Carvalho takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A punch combination from Farquaad misses.
Carvalho tries to counter with a clinch but Farquaad shakes him off and moves away.
Carvalho fails in his attempt to clinch.
Carvalho shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Farquaad but Farquaad pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Faruq Farquaad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eduardo Carvalho.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carvalho.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carvalho throws a leg kick
and Carvalho takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Farquaad connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Farquaad definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Carvalho shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Carvalho takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Farquaad connects with a looping right hand.
Farquaad throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Carvalho moves forwards but Farquaad connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Farquaad lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Carvalho is rocked!
Farquaad sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Carvalho's defenses. It connects perfectly with Carvalho's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
