Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nes Gratsch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gratsch comes to the cage accompanied by i feel good. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Jesus Pope enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nes Gratsch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jesus Pope! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pope misses with a hook. Pope closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pope lands in his opponent's guard. Pope wants to control from the top but Gratsch keeps moving. Gratsch keeping full guard, as Pope tries to pass. Pope postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Gratsch throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Gratsch looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pope avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pope must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pope in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Pope tries to free his leg and advance position but Gratsch is retaining full guard. Gratsch has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pope can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pope pushing down on Gratsch's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gratsch blocking the ground and pound attempt from Pope. Gratsch scores with a few weak punches. Pope wants to free his trapped foot but Gratsch is holding on for dear life with his legs. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pope connects with a nice short shot to Gratsch's temple. Pope trying to control from Gratsch's half guard. Gratsch has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Gratsch has his foot on Pope's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pope works his way back into a safe position though. Pope lands a couple of digs. Gratsch is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pope defends well. Pope trying to control but Gratsch is working from the bottom. Pope forces his way into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gratsch is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Pope pulls his head out easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gratsch is breathing heavily. Pope wants to take a breather but Gratsch is having none of it. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pope connects with a nice short shot to Gratsch's temple. Pope seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Gratsch missing with punches from the bottom.
Pope takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pope lands strikes from half guard. Pope seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Ground and pound from Pope. Pope is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Gratsch is rocked! Pope lands a big elbow - Gratsch is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Pope!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesus Pope!
