Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between FrankFurt Livingstone (ranked 24411 p4p, 2816 weight class) and Mario Benedetti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mario Benedetti told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, FrankFurt Livingstone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 44 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mario Benedetti! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Roosa J�rvil�inen.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Livingstone tries to clinch up and Benedetti counters with a three punch combo that has Livingstone backing up. Livingstone nods at Benedetti to acknowledge the strikes.
Benedetti closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Livingstone is trying to push Benedetti away but Benedetti has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Livingstone is trying to force a seperation but Benedetti has the dominant position.
Benedetti's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Livingstone looks to land a combination but Benedetti avoids it well.
Benedetti drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Benedetti looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Livingstone utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Livingstone wants to stand up but Benedetti is controlling him. Benedetti passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Benedetti decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Benedetti gets a clinch. Livingstone wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Benedetti has him pressed against the cage.
Benedetti escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Livingstone misses with a series of wild punches.
Livingstone swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Benedetti moves into the clinch. Benedetti keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Livingstone's efforts to push away.
Benedetti successfully pulls guard.
Benedetti is pulling down on Livingstone's head to control his posture. Benedetti manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Livingstone manages to get himself to full guard.
Benedetti passes easily into side control. Nice work. Benedetti creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Livingstone sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Benedetti decides to stand back up. Benedetti steps back and let's Livingstone get back to his feet.
Benedetti rushes Livingstone and presses him up against the cage. Livingstone has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Benedetti has Livingstone pressed against the cage, preventing Livingstone from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Benedetti lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Benedetti ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Benedetti no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Benedetti has control of Livingstone's left arm, preventing Livingstone from doing any damage. Livingstone has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Benedetti is on top in guard.
 The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Livingstone can't keep his opponent in guard - Benedetti advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Benedetti is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Livingstone sees it coming and defends easily.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Benedetti passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Livingstone! Benedetti controlling from mount.
Benedetti working for a guillotine from mount but Livingstone is in no mood to give up. Benedetti punching from mount but Livingstone doing a good job of avoiding damage. Benedetti controlling the position easily from mount.
Benedetti get's back to his feet. Benedetti keeps the fight on the outside. Livingstone tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Benedetti counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Livingstone thinking.

Livingstone tries to keep at a distance but Benedetti has taken the fight into the clinch.
Benedetti jumps guard and drags Livingstone to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Benedetti is on top in guard.
Benedetti slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Livingstone is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Benedetti dives into side control.
Benedetti is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Livingstone knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. This has been an exciting period of action! Benedetti is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Livingstone will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Benedetti stands up and beckons Livingstone to his feet. Livingstone tries to clinch up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mario Benedetti dominated that round. That's time! Livingstone's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Livingstone tries to close the distance and clinch up but Benedetti swats him away and circles back towards the center. Livingstone tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Livingstone is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Benedetti. Livingstone tries to clinch but Benedetti moves away and Benedetti counters with a series of strikes. Livingstone will be more careful next time no doubt. Livingstone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Benedetti moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Livingstone throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Benedetti drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Livingstone bucks up and tries to throw Benedetti off but instead Benedetti has got his back! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! I would not like to be Livingstone right now.
Benedetti has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Benedetti is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Livingstone is defending well though. Benedetti let's go of the attempt for now. Benedetti looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Benedetti throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Benedetti not doing much here.

and Benedetti counters by clinching up.
Benedetti has picked Livingstone up - he's going for a ride! Benedetti dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Benedetti has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Benedetti works his way into side control. Benedetti just content to control the position.
Benedetti is trying to get an arm triangle but Livingstone is defending well. Livingstone trying to remain calm as Benedetti controls from the top position. Benedetti postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Benedetti really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Livingstone.
