Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Troy King (ranked 2535 p4p, 4835 weight class) and Daniel White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel White has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Troy King's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Troy King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel White!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Hemmingworth and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts White as he jumps to the side.
King keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

King drives through with a takedown into White's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
White not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

White throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! King escapes and throws White's legs to the side, diving into side control!

King decides to take the fight back to the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White fails with an attempt to clinch.
White tries to clinch up but King circles away and keeps his distance.

King darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King trying to control the action but White is working from the bottom.
King blocks the strikes from White.
White is trying to stand up here but King is controlling him well.
White is not content to let King control the position.
King works his way into side control.
White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

King tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

King thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
White tries to bench press King off him but King keeps the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! King seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! White is tapping! Wow, great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Brabo Choke). Troy King!
Troy King decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
