Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Murfum Orcarm (ranked 1164 p4p, 1372 weight class) and Aqissiac Jacira (ranked 147 p4p, 170 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jacira's choice of entrance music: Cherokee War Song. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aqissiac Jacira!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Orcarm or perhaps it was just good defense by Jacira, which made it look bad.
Orcarm shoots and misses
and Jacira counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Orcarm looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jacira connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Orcarm's hands.

Orcarm misses with a takedown attempt - Jacira sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Murfum Orcarm. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Jacira has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
