Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Everett (ranked 3800 p4p, 4057 weight class) and Douglas Clark (ranked 398 p4p, 0 weight class). Clark has chosen Sweet Home Alabama as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Everett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Douglas Clark! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Everett misses. Clark darts in trying to clinch and Everett counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Everett is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Clark is looking to improve his position.
Everett is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Everett is nestled in close to Clark, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clark trying to control here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Everett content to control rather than advance. Everett seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Clark for as long as he can get away with. Everett passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Clark! Everett content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Everett lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Clark tries to lock up and control but Everett gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Everett landing punches. Everett wants to finish this one by submission but Clark is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Everett. Everett controlling the pace for now. Everett has isolated one of Clark's arms. Clark looking to fight him off but Everett twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
