Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Vaughan (ranked 3292 p4p, 24463 weight class) and Bosko Brown (ranked 366 p4p, 527 weight class). Bosko Brown will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Simon Vaughan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bosko Brown! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vaughan gets the takedown into side control. Vaughan lands some shots froms side control. Brown avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Vaughan. Brown bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Brown tries to move into range but Vaughan moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Bosko Brown has been cut. Vaughan misses with a body kick. Vaughan definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Vaughan shoots for a double leg takedown but Brown sprawls well. He's pushed Vaughan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vaughan closes the distance and pushes Brown back into the cage. Vaughan gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Brown regains guard.
Vaughan prevents Brown from getting back to his feet. Brown preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Brown wants to stand and escape but Vaughan is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vaughan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Brown is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vaughan is controlling him. Brown working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vaughan. Vaughan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Vaughan won't allow Brown to get back to his feet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brown can do anything to dispel that myth. Brown keeping full guard, as Vaughan tries to pass. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Vaughan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Brown wants to stand up but Vaughan is controlling him.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Vaughan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vaughan lands in his opponent's guard. Vaughan postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Brown covers up, he's hurt! Vaughan keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Vaughan and the ref steps in to end the fight! Vaughan can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Simon Vaughan!
