Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Combat Tant (ranked 3967 p4p, 3962 weight class) and Habib Islam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Islam tries for a takedown but Tant sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Islam tries to clinch up.
As Islam tries to get set, Tant tries to push him back and clinch up but Islam manages to avoid the attempt.
Islam pivots, looking for a leg kick but Tant is out of range and Islam settles back down.

Tant closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Islam quickly recovers to half guard.
Tant passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Islam!
Islam swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Tant looking to finish Islam with some ground and pound. This is bad for Islam!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tant is working for a guillotine from mount but Islam frees his head quite easily.
Tant will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Islam is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Tant is landing with some decent strikes but Islam is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Islam wants to hold on but Tant pushes him away.
Tant with a couple of short strikes.
Tant tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Islam looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Tant is looking for the choke from the back position but Islam is controlling his hands well.
Islam rolls, trying to escape but Tant keeps control of the position.
Islam just trying to survive but Tant is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Tant keeps control of the position easily here as Islam tries to buck him off.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

I really don't envy Islam right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tant has the hooks in. Islam is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tant lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Tant has good solid back control here.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Tant controlling the positon.

Tant wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tant tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Islam.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Islam is trying to control but can't.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Islam tries to clinch but Tant is having none of it.
Tant changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Tant closes the distance and clinches up with Islam, looking for a takedown. Tant pushes Islam against the cage but Islam circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Islam wants to clinch up but Tant keeps it at a distance.
Tant stuffs the takedown attempt from Islam. Islam gets slowly back to his feet.
Combat Tant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Habib Islam.
Islam is breathing heavily.
Tant pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Islam shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tant as he avoids it easily.

Islam gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tant to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Tant connects with a couple of short punches.

Combat Tant overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Islam wants to get back to his feet.

Tant uses his free foot to push down on Islam's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Islam.

That's time! Tant's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Tant shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Islam sprawls well. Islam wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tant gets slowly back to his feet.

Tant looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Islam with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
