And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Butch Wang!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Sansho tries to clinch there but Wang circles away.
Sansho tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Wang manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Wang is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Sansho drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sansho jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Wang reaches up to try and control the position but Sansho seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Wang rolls and tries to escape and now Sansho has his back!

Sansho seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
