The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Chikorita closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pereira to the mat! Pereira manages to get full guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Chikorita (2) vs (0) Pereira

Pereira not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Chikorita knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pereira on the ground.
Chikorita drops back looking for a leg! Pereira is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pereira manages to kick Chikorita off! Chikorita jumps back into Pereira's guard.
Chikorita thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Pereira is looking to cinch up a triangle. Chikorita throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Pereira's body to avoid the submission. Pereira has instead reached around Chikorita's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Pereira arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
