Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Castillo (ranked 3942 p4p, 4041 weight class) and Edward Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joey Castillo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edward Le! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castillo is looking to clinch. Castillo cracks a nice hook into Le's ribs. Castillo shoots for a takedown but Le saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Le stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Le looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Le with a hook. Good shot there by Le. Le keeps the fight on the outside. Le throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Castillo sees it coming and avoids it easily. Castillo is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Le digs a good hook to Castillo's body.
Castillo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Le swivels and escapes. Castillo shoots in for a double leg but Le sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joey Castillo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Le tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Castillo was well out of range. Poor timing from Le.
That's one minute gone in the round. Le dips to his left and cracks Castillo with an uppercut! Horrible takedown attempt by Castillo or perhaps it was just good defense by Le, which made it look bad. It seemed like Le was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Le changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Castillo wants to clinch up but Le keeps it at a distance. Le tests Castillo's chin there with a solid looking shot. Castillo shoots for a double leg takedown but Le sprawls well. He's pushed Castillo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Castillo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Castillo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Castillo darts in looking for a takedown but Le gets double underhooks and turns Castillo into the cage. Castillo is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Le. Le lands a shoulder strike. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Le creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Le digs a right hand underneath Castillo's ribcage. Castillo let out a lung full of air as it connected. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Good body shot from Le.

Le lands a nice shot to the body. Le is pushing Castillo up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Castillo is trying to break the clinch but Le is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Le dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Le lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Le lands a hook to the side of the head. Castillo tries to pull guard but Le won't allow it.

Le lands a shoulder strike. Le lands with a short head shot on the inside. A short right from Le on the inside. Le pushes Castillo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Le tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Castillo blocking some punches.
Still in the clinch, Le scores with a nice short uppercut. Le is leaning against Castillo and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Le lands a shoulder strike. A short left from Le. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Le lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Castillo blocks an uppercut.

Le will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Castillo up against the cage. Le misses with a hook to the ribs.
Le cracks Castillo with a nice body shot. Castillo fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Le lands a left hand that snaps the head of Castillo backwards. Le lands a shoulder strike. Le lands with a light punch inside. Le lands with a short shot to the head. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Edward Le dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Castillo with a lazy takedown attempt and Le counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Castillo misses with a takedown attempt - Le sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Castillo has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joey Castillo. That's going to take a lot out of him. A left lands for Le. Castillo drives through with a takedown into Le's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Castillo gets to his feet. Le looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Le just misses with a punch to the body.
As Le tries to get set, Castillo tries to push him back and clinch up but Le manages to avoid the attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Castillo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Le displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Castillo. Castillo fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Le darts in and clinches Castillo up against the cage. Le makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Le is working Castillo over against the cage. Le lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Le lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Le goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Le scores with a shot to the side of Castillo's head. Le lands a right hand that snaps the head of Castillo backwards. Castillo manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Le postures up.
Castillo is really struggling to control Le but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Castillo has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Le doesn't defend quickly enough and Castillo has managed to lock this one up! Can Le escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Castillo on a fantastic submission victory.
