Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alverez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Iason circles away quickly and effectively.
Alverez shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Iason eats them both and turns towards Alverez to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Alverez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Alverez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Alverez wants it to stay on the feet.
Alverez throws a left and a right that both miss
and Iason counters by clinching up.
Iason keeps control of Alverez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
I was talking to Iason's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Iason connects with a nasty looking knee right to Alverez's face.
It looks like Javier Alverez has been cut.
Iason works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Alverez looks winded!

Iason is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Iason lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Iason creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Alverez with a big uppercut! Alverez tries to clinch up but Iason pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Alverez to the mat! Alverez covers up and Iason unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
