Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Rua (ranked 1281 p4p, 1322 weight class) and Werewolf Night (ranked 159 p4p, 163 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Night's choice of entrance music: Mother- Danzig. Wanderlei Rua is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Night blocks a leg kick.
Night takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rua throws a leg kick which misses Night's front leg but catches the back leg as Night tries to avoid it.
Night missing with a left hand there. Rua was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Rua throws a body shot but no joy.
Wanderlei Rua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Night throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rua misses with a body shot.
No joy there for Rua, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rua misses with a leg kick
and Night counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Wanderlei Rua has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rua. Night does a little dance to reset his feet.
Night has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Night throws the left hand but Rua avoids the punch easily.
Night throws a lazy right hand but Rua sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rua was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Rua looks to land a left hand but Night moved out of range nicely.

and Night counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Rua fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Night manages to avoid it.

Rua cracks Night with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rua has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Night to stand back up!

That has opened up Werewolf Night's cut even more.
Night might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rua moves in close and cracks Night with a massive right hand! Night, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Rua!
