Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimar Kinkead (ranked 2068 p4p, 1731 weight class) and Cero Dohbopavich (ranked 275 p4p, 236 weight class). Kinkead comes to the cage accompanied by No Sunshine. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimar Kinkead! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cero Dohbopavich! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dohbopavich gets tackled into the cage by Kinkead. Kinkead maintains the clinch. Kinkead pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Kinkead tightens his grip and picks Dohbopavich up, before dumping him to the ground. Dohbopavich manages to land in guard. Kinkead is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kinkead distracts Dohbopavich with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Dohbopavich is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kinkead is controlling him. Kinkead throws a big right hand that misses. Dohbopavich is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dohbopavich avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Dohbopavich is looking to stand up but Kinkead isn't so interested in that idea. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Kinkead tries to free his leg and advance position but Dohbopavich is retaining full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Dohbopavich tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kinkead swivels and escapes. As Dohbopavich tries to get set, Kinkead tries to push him back and clinch up but Dohbopavich manages to avoid the attempt. Dohbopavich tries for a takedown but Kinkead sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kinkead is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Dohbopavich. Kinkead has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Dynamic MMA in the buildup to the fight. Dohbopavich shoots in but Kinkead avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jimar Kinkead has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cero Dohbopavich. Kinkead is looking to clinch but Dohbopavich is avoiding it.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dohbopavich or perhaps it was just good defense by Kinkead, which made it look bad.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dohbopavich shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dohbopavich showed some decent athleticism there. Kinkead kicks off Dohbopavich and gets to his feet. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Dohbopavich shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kinkead as he jumps to the side. Dohbopavich takes one to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kinkead defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dohbopavich. Kinkead tries to counter with a takedown but Dohbopavich is quick to defend against it. Dohbopavich shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kinkead sprawls well. Kinkead wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dohbopavich gets slowly back to his feet. Kinkead tries to counter by clinching up but Dohbopavich breaks away and moves out of range. Kinkead moves into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kinkead effectively controlling the action here. The referee is keeping an eye on Kinkead - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Kinkead slowing the pace effectively. Kinkead seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Kinkead has clasped his hands together around Dohbopavich's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Dohbopavich explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Kinkead pushes Dohbopavich up against the cage in a clinch. Dohbopavich tries for a takedown but Kinkead manages to get underhooks.

Kinkead pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Dohbopavich tumbling to the mat - Kinkead dives into Dohbopavich's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kinkead postures up and lands a big shot to Dohbopavich's brow. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kinkead accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dohbopavich wants to stand and escape but Kinkead is having none of it.

Kinkead is looking to work some ground and pound but Dohbopavich has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kinkead prevents Dohbopavich from getting back to his feet. Kinkead is stalling in the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Dohbopavich shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kinkead as he avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dohbopavich shoots in and drives through. Kinkead sprawls well. Kinkead seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Jimar Kinkead has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cero Dohbopavich. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Dohbopavich working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Kinkead is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dohbopavich wants to pass to mount but Kinkead is defending the position. Kinkead tries to get to full guard but Dohbopavich has control of the leg. Kinkead looking for submissions off his back. Dohbopavich lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dohbopavich is defending well against a takedown attempt. Kinkead turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kinkead manages to end up in side control. Dohbopavich bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kinkead has closed the distance and engaged Dohbopavich in a clinch.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kinkead tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Dohbopavich counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dohbopavich.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimar Kinkead showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kinkead has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
