Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Max Fightmaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mats Madsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Madsen has chosen Jedi Mind Tricks - Heavy Metal Kings as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Max Fightmaster has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Max Fightmaster seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Fightmaster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mats Madsen! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fightmaster uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
It looks like Mats Madsen has been cut. Madsen shoots in for a double leg but Fightmaster sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Madsen defending well as Fightmaster loads up on a big left hand. Max Fightmaster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Madsen clinches up against the cage. Madsen lands a nice uppercut. Fightmaster lands a hook that snaps the head of Madsen backwards. Fightmaster wants to break the clinch but can't.
The referee calls for Madsen to work.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Madsen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Madsen scores with a takedown into Fightmaster's guard. Fightmaster throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Madsen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fightmaster throws a series of punches but Madsen avoids them all with ease. Nice shot by Fightmaster. A lazy left from Fightmaster finds it's target. Fightmaster throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Madsen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Madsen looks to throw the jab but Fightmaster is out of range. Madsen fails to land with a series of punches.
Madsen gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fightmaster to score an easy takedown into full guard. Madsen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Madsen working a defensive guard here.
Madsen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Fightmaster passes into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fightmaster stops Madsen from getting back to his feet.
Madsen looks gassed! Madsen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fightmaster is working away from the top position though. Fightmaster is taking a breather. Madsen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Madsen is refusing to be controlled, as Fightmaster sits in half guard. Fightmaster is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Fightmaster wants to lay and pray for a moment but Madsen keeps working. Madsen is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Madsen throws a low kick but Fightmaster avoids it. Fightmaster misses the shot to the body. Madsen walks into a left hand. Nice takedown defense from Madsen. No joy for Fightmaster on that attempt. Madsen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fightmaster moves away. Fightmaster throws a big shot that misses. Fightmaster lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Madsen backs up against the cage.
Madsen throws a series of punches but Fightmaster moves out of range. Fightmaster fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Madsen manages to avoid it. Fightmaster lands a two punch combo.
Madsen looks to land a combination but Fightmaster avoids it well. Fightmaster throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Nice jab there from Fightmaster. Fightmaster fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fightmaster scores to the head and body with a nice combination! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fightmaster takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Madsen uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Fightmaster has time to react. Fightmaster misses with an uppercut. The fight stays on the outside here - Fightmaster looks like he's thinking about clinching though. No joy there for Fightmaster, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fightmaster misses with a takedown attempt and Madsen counters with a series of strikes. Fightmaster will be more careful next time no doubt. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Madsen misses with a hook. Fightmaster misses with a straight right. Madsen misses with a hook. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fightmaster bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Madsen's head backwards. Fightmaster moves out of range of the strikes. Fightmaster looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Fightmaster dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mats Madsen's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Madsen avoids the body shot from Fightmaster.
Fightmaster throws a hook but Madsen blocks it. Madsen moves out of range of the leg kick from Fightmaster. Madsen shoots in for a takedown but Fightmaster shows good takedown defense. Madsen tries to bum rush Fightmaster with a series of wild strikes but Fightmaster uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Fightmaster is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Madsen. Fightmaster tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Madsen is able to avoid easily. Fightmaster gets in close and instigates a clinch. Fightmaster lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Fightmaster is trying to drag Madsen to the mat but Madsen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Madsen is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Fightmaster has Madsen pressed against the cage, preventing Madsen from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's one minute gone in the round. A short body shot lands from Madsen as the two fighters clinch.
Fightmaster has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Madsen is trying to maintain a safe position but Fightmaster gets an underhook and turns Madsen into the cage. Madsen lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Fightmaster. Madsen tries a body shot but Fightmaster blocks it.
Madsen tries to circle away but Fightmaster has him pinned against the cage. A right hook to the body lands for Fightmaster.
The referee calls for Fightmaster to work.
Fightmaster breaks from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fightmaster swings and misses with a shot to the body and Madsen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fightmaster! Fightmaster on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fightmaster tries to get out of the position. Madsen is breathing heavily. Madsen trying to control but Fightmaster is having none of it. Fightmaster working to try and regain half guard.
Madsen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fightmaster is looking to escape. Fightmaster tries to hold on but Madsen postures up. Fightmaster is squirming around, avoiding Madsen's attempts to control the action. Fightmaster is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fightmaster tries to hold on but Madsen postures up. Madsen prevents Fightmaster from getting the reversal. Madsen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fightmaster is looking to escape. Fightmaster is wriggling around trying to escape.
Madsen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Fightmaster really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Fightmaster is squirming around, avoiding Madsen's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fightmaster is desperately trying to improve his position but Madsen has a good base and remains in mount. Madsen blocks Fightmaster's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Madsen trying to control but he's not successful this time. Fightmaster tries to hold on but Madsen pushes him away. Madsen controlling from mount. Fightmaster regains half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Madsen misses with a head shot. Fightmaster uses the momentum to regain guard. Fightmaster is pulling down on Madsen's head. It's preventing any offense from Madsen, at least for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mats Madsen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Mats Madsen's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Fightmaster misses the jab. A telegraphed right hand from Fightmaster misses the target. Madsen takes a shot right to the bread basket. Fightmaster throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fightmaster lands a head shot. Fightmaster looks to land a combination but Madsen avoids it well. Max Fightmaster is winning the standup battle so far. Fightmaster throws a right hand that Madsen ducks under and follows up with a left that Madsen also avoids with ease. Fightmaster lands with a hook. Madsen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Fightmaster doesn't manage to clinch there - Madsen circles away.
Fightmaster throws a leg kick and Madsen counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. A head kick misses from Fightmaster. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Madsen throws a right and a left that Fightmaster avoids nicely. Madsen lands a left and a right that sends Fightmaster crashing to the canvas! Madsen dives into mount looking to finish!
Fightmaster is rocked!
It looks like Max Fightmaster has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A big strike lands for Madsen! That's really hurt Fightmaster and he's turned his back - Madsen keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Madsen Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
