Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Noah Gordon (ranked 1603 p4p, 694 weight class) and Masahiko Kimura (ranked 190 p4p, 89 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Noah Gordon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Masahiko Kimura!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura takes one to the side of the head.
Gordon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gordon tests Kimura's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kimura has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gordon finds it's way round the side to connect with Kimura's head.
Kimura shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Gordon counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gordon connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Gordon goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Masahiko Kimura has been cut.
We've been told by Gordon's head coaches at Soul Supremacy Rio that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kimura closes the distance and pushes Gordon back into the cage.
Gordon lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Gordon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kimura throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gordon was covering up waiting for the punch and Kimura finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kimura is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gordon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kimura.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kimura is looking to stall here but Gordon recovers full guard.

Kimura drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gordon dives on top into guard.

Gordon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Gordon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kimura trying to keep a closed guard but Gordon is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kimura bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gordon's guard.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gordon is looking to control Kimura's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gordon avoid being mounted?

Kimura is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Kimura is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Gordon still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Gordon has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

That's time! Gordon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

The crowd cheers as Gordon lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kimura doesn't seem phased though.
Gordon slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Nice straight punches there by Gordon. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gordon.
Gordon is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kimura shoots in but no luck this time.
Noah Gordon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Masahiko Kimura.
Kimura tries for a takedown but Gordon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Kimura darts in and clinches Gordon up against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Kimura is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Our spies down at at Deathsquad inform us that Kimura has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Gordon wants to control from the top but Kimura keeps moving.

Kimura escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gordon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gordon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
