Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Vilmer Stridh (ranked 24319 p4p, 24218 weight class) and Hector Berlioz (ranked 530 p4p, 568 weight class). Berlioz comes into a darkened arena with his song building. March to the Scaffold kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berlioz dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Stridh throws a right hand that misses
and Berlioz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Vilmer Stridh has been cut.
Stridh scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Berlioz misses the jab.
Stridh throws a one two combo.
Berlioz connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Stridh throws a right and a left that both miss.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Berlioz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stridh throws a series of strikes that have Berlioz backpedaling.
Stridh displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Berlioz throws out the jab.
Stridh throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Berlioz misses with a head kick.
Stridh throws the left hand but Berlioz avoids the punch easily.
Berlioz wants to counter the offense by Stridh and move into the clinch position.
Berlioz throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Berlioz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stridh.
Berlioz swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Berlioz throws a head kick that Stridh semi-blocks.
Berlioz throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stridh connects with a right hand. Berlioz shakes it off.
Berlioz lands a slapping body shot.
Berlioz keeps the fight on the outside.
Stridh gets tackled into the cage by Berlioz. Berlioz maintains the clinch.
Stridh misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Stridh is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Stridh tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Berlioz lands a right hand that snaps the head of Stridh backwards.
Stridh blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Berlioz throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Stridh blocks it with crossed arms.
Stridh has a couple of punches blocked by Berlioz.
Stridh misses with a punch to the body.
Berlioz tries to work over Stridh's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Berlioz lands a nice uppercut.
Stridh is looking to break free of the clinch but Berlioz has double underhooks.
Berlioz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Stridh throws a shot from downtown. Berlioz moves away and avoids it.
Stridh swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Berlioz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Berlioz misses with a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Berlioz takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A big right from Stridh misses.
Stridh takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Stridh is rocked!
Berlioz closes the distance and clinches.
Berlioz lands a left hand that snaps the head of Stridh backwards.
Oh Stridh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Berlioz creates a bit of space and fires a knee right up the middle, almost lifting Stridh off his feet and sending him crashing to the canvas! Stridh is trying to get back to his feet but his equilibrium is completely gone! The referee has called it off! This fight is over! Berlioz is jumping up and down like a mad man, celebrating with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Hector Berlioz!
During a confident post fight interview, Hector Berlioz thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
