Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alonzo Wagner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nico Lin!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wagner as he jumps to the side.
Wagner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wagner throws a hook but Lin blocks it.
Wagner looks to score with a jab to the body but Lin is just out of range.
Lin with the counter takedown but Wagner avoids it easily.
Wagner connects with a looping right hand.
Lin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
OH! Lin has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Wagner smells blood and charges in for the finish! Wagner unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Lin sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Alonzo Wagner!
Our winner, Alonzo Wagner, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
