Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Doric Dienekes (ranked 299 p4p, 458 weight class) and Bart Detweiler (ranked 34 p4p, 58 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doric Dienekes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bart Detweiler! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Detweiler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dienekes swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bart Detweiler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Detweiler looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dienekes! Dienekes is looking to reverse the position. Dienekes takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Dienekes is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at ZuccoTraining Ground, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Dienekes is looking for a sweep. Detweiler working away. Dienekes is looking for a sweep. Detweiler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dienekes keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dienekes is trying to get back to half guard. Detweiler wants to control for a moment but Dienekes uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Detweiler wants to control but Dienekes is keeping him busy. Detweiler thows a huge punch but Dienekes dodges it nicely.
Dienekes on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Detweiler working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Detweiler is looking to stall here but Dienekes recovers full guard. Detweiler controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dienekes is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Detweiler keeping full guard, as Dienekes tries to pass. Dienekes wants to control from the top but Detweiler keeps moving. Detweiler not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Detweiler pulls Dienekes in close to his closed guard and prevents Dienekes from doing any damage or advancing position. Dienekes stands up over Detweiler, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Detweiler had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dienekes defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Detweiler has Dienekes pulled in close to control his posture. Dienekes makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dienekes passes into half guard. Dienekes scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Dienekes wants to work for an arm triangle but Detweiler is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Dienekes tries to pass the half guard into mount. Detweiler knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Detweiler wants to control but Dienekes is keeping busy and won't allow it. Dienekes not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dienekes working Detweiler over with strikes. Detweiler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dienekes missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Detweiler tries to get to full guard but Dienekes has control of the leg. Detweiler regains full guard. Nicely done. Detweiler is adopting a defensive guard. Dienekes seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Detweiler is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. That was a close round but I would say that Doric Dienekes will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Detweiler connects with a looping right hand.
Detweiler throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Dienekes counters with a shoot takedown. Detweiler fights it but they end up in guard. Dienekes wants to control from the top but Detweiler keeps moving. Dienekes working some strikes from top position. Detweiler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Dienekes trying to control the position from guard on top but Detweiler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Detweiler is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Detweiler is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Doric Dienekes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dienekes is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Detweiler pulls his head out easily. Dienekes is looking for a sweep. Detweiler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Detweiler stalling. Detweiler is keen to just control but Dienekes is a slippery customer. Detweiler wants to pass the guard but Dienekes is defending well.

Dienekes is staying active underneath Detweiler, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Dienekes tries to roll over but Detweiler keeps him under control. Dienekes moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Detweiler looking to sit in guard and control but Dienekes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Dienekes trying to control but Detweiler is working from the bottom. Dienekes is working Detweiler over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Detweiler working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dienekes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dienekes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Dienekes throws a big right hand that misses. Detweiler is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Detweiler not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dienekes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sloppy strikes from Detweiler. Those never looked like landing. Dienekes attempts a counter takedown but Detweiler avoids it well and moves away. Dienekes slips a straight right by Detweiler. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Detweiler misses with a combination

That was a close second round but I would say that Doric Dienekes will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Detweiler is defended easily by Dienekes. Detweiler scores with a jab to the body. Nice uppercut lands for Detweiler. That snapped Dienekes's head back.

Detweiler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dienekes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Detweiler.
Dienekes changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Detweiler. Dienekes half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Detweiler clinches up with Dienekes and pushes him back against the cage. Dienekes tries to pull guard but Detweiler won't allow it.

Dienekes lands a couple of elbows. Dienekes trying to move into half guard but instead Detweiler has managed to sweep! Detweiler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dienekes swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dienekes keeping moving, preventing Detweiler from controlling successfully. Detweiler wants to pass the guard but Dienekes is keeping the position. Dienekes has his foot on Detweiler's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Detweiler works his way back into a safe position though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!!
