Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Super Macho Man (ranked 2079 p4p, 2063 weight class) and Ken Shamrock (ranked 278 p4p, 276 weight class). Macho Man kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ride of the Valkyries. Shamrock is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Dangerous Entrance Theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Super Macho Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ken Shamrock!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ben Watson and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock moves out of range as Macho Man strikes.
Shamrock tries for a takedown but Macho Man circles away easily
and Macho Man counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Macho Man throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shamrock sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Shamrock closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Macho Man's guard.
Shamrock lands a couple of elbows.
Shamrock throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Shamrock content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Shamrock postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shamrock postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Macho Man is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Shamrock, into his guard.
Macho Man knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shamrock on the ground.

Shamrock is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Macho Man defends well.

Macho Man not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Macho Man is pushing down on Shamrock's leg trying to pass to half guard. Shamrock is fighting to maintain full guard but Macho Man has managed to sneak the leg through.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Shamrock looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Macho Man uses his free foot to push down on Shamrock's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Shamrock.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Macho Man looking to control and managing it successfully.

Shamrock is wriggling around trying to escape.
Shamrock wants to hold on but Macho Man pushes him away.
Macho Man trying to control but Shamrock is having none of it.
Macho Man content just to control the position here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Shamrock is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Macho Man misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Shamrock is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Super Macho Man dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Macho Man fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shamrock manages to avoid it.
Macho Man bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shamrock's head.
Macho Man scores with a hook to the body. Shamrock takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Macho Man ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shamrock moves away.
Shamrock is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Shamrock takes one to the chin there.
Macho Man throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Macho Man lands a really nice looking cross but Shamrock seems unphased.

and Shamrock counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Shamrock trying to control the position from guard on top but Macho Man is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Macho Man on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Macho Man tries to get out of the position.
We've been informed that Shamrock has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shamrock working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Macho Man's head.
Shamrock is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Macho Man has control of Shamrock's left arm, preventing Shamrock from doing any damage.
Shamrock looking to sit in guard and control but Macho Man gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Shamrock looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Macho Man is defending well. Shamrock quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Macho Man has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Shamrock celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

An out of breath Ken Shamrock thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
