Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Mesquita (ranked 1466 p4p, 2330 weight class) and Dougie McFistface (ranked 147 p4p, 218 weight class). McFistface has chosen Tiptoe Through The Tulips as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Dougie McFistface enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 18 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dougie McFistface!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFistface rushes Mesquita and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
McFistface drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mesquita pulls his leg out and moves away.
McFistface throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mesquita looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mesquita scores with a jab to the body.
McFistface tries to clinch there but Mesquita circles away.
Mesquita throwing a counter right hand but McFistface manages to avoid it.
McFistface is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McFistface tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mesquita paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dougie McFistface seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McFistface misses with a head kick.
Mesquita lands with a nice body punch.

McFistface doesn't manage to clinch there - Mesquita circles away.
McFistface moves in looking to clinch but Mesquita pushes him off.
Mesquita throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Mesquita looks to land a right hand but McFistface moved out of range.
Mesquita throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McFistface on the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McFistface pivots, looking for a leg kick but Mesquita is out of range and McFistface settles back down.

McFistface doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

McFistface shapes to counter with a head kick.

McFistface forces Mesquita back against the cage and clinches.
McFistface changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mesquita fights it off and pushes away nicely.

McFistface tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mesquita paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mesquita digs a good body shot into McFistface's ribs.
McFistface closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
McFistface has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mesquita avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Vitor Mesquita has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dougie McFistface.
McFistface swings wildly with an uppercut but Mesquita uses good head movement to avoid it.

McFistface jumps guard but Mesquita stands there with McFistface around his waist. McFistface gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mesquita manages to pull guard.
Mesquita looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McFistface got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mesquita has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McFistface has managed to get both his arms back between Mesquita's legs - danger averted.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells McFistface's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
McFistface throws a strike but Mesquita rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
McFistface keeping moving, preventing Mesquita from controlling successfully.
Mesquita is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McFistface is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McFistface has escaped and now he's on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McFistface pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mesquita is keeping the position for now.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

McFistface slips a straight right by Mesquita.
McFistface moves away from the strike by Mesquita.
McFistface is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Mesquita tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McFistface was well out of range. Poor timing from Mesquita.
McFistface misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mesquita connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mesquita connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Mesquita looks to throw the jab but McFistface is out of range.
McFistface shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mesquita eats them both and turns towards McFistface to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Mesquita swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mesquita throws a body shot but no joy.
McFistface uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mesquita.
Mesquita fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Mesquita pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
McFistface lands with a slapping head kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McFistface has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mesquita ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mesquita no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
McFistface is fighting to break Mesquita's control of his arms but Mesquita is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
McFistface throws a big right hand that misses.

Mesquita looking for a guillotine here but McFistface defends easily.
McFistface throwing strikes but missing.
McFistface stands up over Mesquita, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
McFistface chips away with some ground and pound.
Mesquita is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mesquita has his foot on McFistface's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McFistface works his way back into a safe position though.

Mesquita looking to hit a scissor sweep but McFistface is one step ahead there.
Mesquita has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think McFistface should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mesquita has tightened it up now! McFistface should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
