Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danny Vargas (ranked 538 p4p, 485 weight class) and Faarooq Rahim (ranked 79 p4p, 73 weight class). Danny Vargas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Vargas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Faarooq Rahim!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rahim on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Rahim takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rahim looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
No luck for Rahim with that takedown attempt.
Rahim tries to clinch there but Vargas circles away.
Rahim steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vargas.
Rahim slips a straight right by Vargas.
Vargas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rahim dives in for a single leg takedown but Vargas sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Danny Vargas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Faarooq Rahim.
Vargas leaves Rahim with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Vargas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vargas wants it to stay on the feet.
Vargas definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Vargas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Vargas throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rahim sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Rahim is looking to clinch but Vargas is avoiding it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rahim shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Vargas manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rahim not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
It looks like Rahim might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Rahim creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Vargas sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Vargas on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Vargas tries to get out of the position.

The referee asks Rahim politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rahim prefers to stall for the moment though.
Vargas is not content to let Rahim control the position.
Rahim scores with a couple of short elbows.
Rahim works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Rahim looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Vargas covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
