Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Jackman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rex Tremors! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackman misses with a right hand and Tremors counters with a leg kick. Tremors misses with an uppercut. Jackman is looking for a counter combo. Nice jab there from Jackman. Tremors throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Tremors slips under a jab from Jackman. Jackman thows a left - swing and a miss! Tremors let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Jimmy Jackman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jackman blocks a head kick by Tremors.
Jackman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tremors on his heels. He'll look to pass Tremors's guard now, I'm sure. Jackman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Jackman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackman wants to control from the top but Tremors keeps moving. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Tremors slips a jab from Jackman. Jackman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tremors stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Jackman throws a lazy uppercut
and Tremors counters with a three punch combo that has Jackman backing up. Jackman nods at Tremors to acknowledge the strikes. Jackman slips a straight right by Tremors. Jackman lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Tremors connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jackman. Jackman circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Tremors lands a big head kick that sends Jackman tumbling to the mat! Tremors takes a step backwards and waves Jackman back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Jackman is rocked! Tremors defending well as Jackman loads up on a big left hand. Oh Jackman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Tremors steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Jackman is out on his feet! Tremors sets himself and nearly takes Jackman's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rex Tremors!
