Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alejandro Laguera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Panda Cuchi!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuchi on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Laguera misses with a double jab.
Laguera walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Alejandro Laguera has been cut.
Laguera tries to bum rush Cuchi with a series of wild strikes but Cuchi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A little jabbing left from Cuchi on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Laguera throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cuchi.
Cuchi keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Cuchi swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A chopping leg kick lands by Laguera.
Laguera on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Cuchi moves into range and connects with a jab.
Cuchi moves forwards but Laguera connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Laguera walks into a straight right hand from Cuchi.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Laguera avoids the body shot from Cuchi.
Laguera throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Laguera misses with a series of wild punches.
Cuchi appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Cuchi tries to clinch up.
Laguera takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Laguera is rocked!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Laguera!
Oh Laguera is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cuchi lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
No joy there for Laguera, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Laguera is aggressively charging in as Cuchi backs up avoiding any damage. Cuchi tosses out a jab and Laguera runs right into it face first! Laguera is out cold! Cuchi dropped down on all fours and is barking in Laguera's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Panda Cuchi!
