PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Grayson (ranked 4219 p4p, 3277 weight class) and Harold Grabber (ranked 202 p4p, 180 weight class). Grabber has chosen Sound of da Police as his entrance music. The key to victory for Don Grayson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Don Grayson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Harold Grabber!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grabber does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Grayson misses the shot to the body.
Grayson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Grabber at a distance.

Grabber forces Grayson back against the cage and clinches.

Grabber jumps guard.
Grayson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grayson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grabber swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Grayson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Grabber defends well.

Grabber looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Grabber must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Grayson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Grabber is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Grabber tries to close the distance and clinch but Grayson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Grabber is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Grayson stands and throws Grabber's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Don Grayson will probably get the nod.

Grayson tightens his grip and picks Grabber up, before dumping him to the ground. Grabber manages to land in guard.

Grayson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grabber swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Grayson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Grabber gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Grabber with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Grabber connects with a couple of short punches.

Grabber is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Grayson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Grabber is looking to defend but Grayson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Grabber! Grayson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Grabber taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Don Grayson!
