Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zhang Fei (ranked 3881 p4p, 25070 weight class) and Enzo Cooke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fei fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cooke to the ground. Fei is now in Cooke's guard.

Cooke drops back looking for a leg! Fei is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fei manages to kick Cooke off! Cooke jumps back into Fei's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You can see the frustration on Fei's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fei knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cooke on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cooke is looking to take a break and control but Fei is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Cooke has hold of Fei's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Fei manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Cooke has control of Fei's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Fei regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Cooke is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Fei to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Fei shrugs it off.

Cooke is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Fei is surviving well by controlling Cooke's body position as best he can.

Fei looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cooke with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zhang Fei.
