Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bagomed Umarov (ranked 3473 p4p, 24209 weight class) and Trent Bash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bagomed Umarov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trent Bash! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Umarov scores with a kick to the body.
Umarov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bash swats him away and circles back towards the center. Umarov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Bash stuffs the takedown attempt from Umarov. Umarov gets slowly back to his feet. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Bash has eaten all the pies! Umarov is breathing heavily. Umarov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bash back to the cage. Umarov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Umarov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Umarov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Umarov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A solid body kick from Umarov. Bash fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Umarov to the ground. Bash is now in Umarov's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bash postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Umarov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bash, into his guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bash can do anything to dispel that myth.

Umarov escapes and throws Bash's legs to the side, diving into side control! That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bash is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Umarov tries to stand but Bash is controlling his head. Bash tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bash gets back to half guard. Bash looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bash looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Bash is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Umarov pulls his head out easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Umarov wants to stand up but Bash is controlling the position.

Bagomed Umarov dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! No luck with that takedown attempt from Bash. Umarov throws a quick counter head kick but Bash was just out of range. Umarov tries to clinch up. Umarov shoots in for a takedown but Bash shows good takedown defense. Bash takes a kick to the side of the head. Bash goes for a double leg but Umarov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Umarov continues to drive forward. Umarov waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bash. Bash shoots in for a double leg but Umarov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bagomed Umarov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trent Bash. Horrible takedown attempt by Bash or perhaps it was just good defense by Umarov, which made it look bad. Bagomed Umarov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Umarov throws a lazy head kick and Bash decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Umarov's guard. Bash thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Bash shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Bash is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Umarov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Bash must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Umarov is looking to stand up but Bash isn't so interested in that idea. Bash drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Umarov dives on top into guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bash is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

A close second round but Trent Bash will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Bash shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Umarov as he jumps to the side. Bash throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Umarov's waist but Umarov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bash off to one side. Bash shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bash was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Umarov is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Trent Bash has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bash tries for a kimura but Umarov is defending well. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bash is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Umarov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Umarov wants to control but Bash postures up. Bash thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Umarov pushes Bash away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bash gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Umarov fails in his attempt to clinch. Bash changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Umarov tries to avoid it but Bash manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Umarov to the ground. Umarov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bagomed Umarov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trent Bash. Umarov fails miserably with a takedown attempt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Bash.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bash tries for a takedown but Umarov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Umarov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bash. Bash fails with a takedown attempt. Umarov throws a big counter combination but Bash scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Umarov throws a sloppy head kick and Bash moves out of range easily. Bagomed Umarov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Excellent takedown into side control there by Bash. Bash working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Bash tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bagomed Umarov. I think Umarov has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
