The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Karelin counters with a left to the body.
Rojas takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Karelin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rojas not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Karelin pulls Rojas in to control the position.

Rojas sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Karelin's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rojas has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Karelin defend it? Rojas steps over the head and cranks it - Karelin is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Rojas!
