Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a low kick but it's checked well by Pereira.
Pereira dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Pereira's head and hops out.
Jones throws a head kick that misses

and Pereira counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Jones has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Pereira is on him like a limpet, forcing Jones back against the cage.
Jones tries to land knees in the clinch but Pereira avoids the damage to the body.

Pereira tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jones just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jones prevents the takedown attempt.
Trent Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glover Pereira.

Jones breaks from the clinch.
Pereira misses with a few strikes there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pereira is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jones.
Pereira dives in for a single leg takedown but Jones sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Pereira tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Jones tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Pereira avoids it.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Jones.

and Jones counters with a head kick.

Jones closes the distance and clinches.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pereira chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jones can pounce on him.
Pereira tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A thudding body kick lands there by Jones!
Jones pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Jones scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jones gets a clinch.

Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pereira fails with the takedown.
Pereira looks winded!
Pereira takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Jones slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jones throws a series of punches but Pereira moves out of range.
Jones moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Pereira is rocked!
Jones throws an overhand right that has Pereira reeling! Jones follows up with more punches and Pereira is out cold! This one is all over!
