Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 36 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jacob Song!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Song misses with a combination
and Mendoza counters with a right hand to the body.
Song throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mendoza counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Mendoza lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Song closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Song throws a nice looking combination but Mendoza bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mendoza attempts a counter takedown but Song avoids it well and moves away.
Mendoza scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Song on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Song on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
A shot to the liver by Mendoza. Beautiful body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mendoza lands a two punch combo.
Mendoza lets loose with a powerful body kick. Song will feel that in the morning.
Mendoza scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Song doesn't seem bothered though.
Song swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A nice combination there by Mendoza.
Song takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Song tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mendoza was well out of range. Poor timing from Song.
Mendoza cracks a nice hook into Song's ribs.
Mendoza is looking to wear down Song with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Mendoza lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Nice uppercut there from Mendoza.
Mendoza is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Mendoza stuns Song with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Mendoza lands a jab to the head.
Mendoza lands a slapping body shot.
Mendoza scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Song takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Mendoza fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A right-left combo lands from Mendoza.
Mendoza with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Mendoza throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Song was covering up waiting for the punch and Mendoza finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Mendoza distracts Song with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

We've been hearing that Mendoza has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Mendoza throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Song has his hands clasped together but Mendoza breaks the hold and Song is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Mendoza!

Luiz Mendoza decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
