Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Rough (ranked 3062 p4p, 3705 weight class) and Logan Mahoney (ranked 386 p4p, 447 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gordon Rough!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Logan Mahoney!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rough lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Mahoney drops his hands momentarily and Rough takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Mahoney tries to move into range but Rough moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Rough takes a swing at Mahoney's ribcage but misses.
Mahoney closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Mahoney is rocked!
Gordon Rough seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rough ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Mahoney's jaw. Mahoney's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Rough does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gordon Rough!
After winning the bout, Gordon Rough thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
