Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23397 p4p, 23414 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 44 - 62 - 12, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 63 - 51 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buut looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mibangon! You can see the frustration on Mibangon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mibangon is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Buut is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mibangon will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Mibangon wants to control but Buut postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut is staying tight to Mibangon's torso, preventing him from escaping. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mibangon regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon is concentrating on defense, preventing Buut from advancing position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Buut tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mibangon defends well and Buut ends up having to push Mibangon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Mibangon wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Buut shoots in and bounces Mibangon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Buut not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mibangon throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Mibangon is pulling down on Buut's head. It's preventing any offense from Buut, at least for the moment. Mibangon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Buut is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mibangon pulls Buut in close to prevent any damage.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mibangon moves out of range of the body kick. Mibangon throws a big counter combination but Buut scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Buut tries for a takedown but Mibangon circles away easily and Mibangon counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Buut thinking.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mibangon shoots in looking for a takedown but Buut manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mibangon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Buut feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Buut is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Buut shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mibangon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Buut is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Mibangon with a body shot. No luck with that takedown attempt from Buut. Mibangon jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mibangon's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Buut's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mibangon controlling the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mibangon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Buut is one step ahead there.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Buut with a poor takedown and Mibangon counters with a nice body kick. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mibangon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Buut is trying to counter with his kicks. Mibangon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Buut defends it nicely. Buut steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Buut with a poor takedown and Mibangon counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Mibangon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Buut follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Mibangon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Buut to the ground. Mibangon is now in Buut's guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Minatay Mibangon dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! Buut fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Buut shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mibangon as he jumps to the side. Buut has a takedown stuffed. Mibangon appears to be looking for a big counter. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice sprawl there from Buut as Mibangon shoots in. Buut replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Mibangon blocks it well. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon scores with a takedown into Buut's guard. Buut has control of Mibangon's left arm, preventing Mibangon from doing any damage. Mibangon controlling from the top position. Mibangon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buut pulls Mibangon in to control the position. Mibangon content to stall in guard here. Mibangon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Buut for as long as he can get away with. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mibangon trying to control the position from guard on top but Buut is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Mibangon with a lazy takedown attempt and Buut counters with a flying knee. Nice. Buut fails with a takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Buut shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mibangon as he jumps to the side. Mibangon was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
And that's the end of the fight! Minatay Mibangon showed his dominance in that final round. I think Mibangon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
