And in the blue corner, fighting out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Urijah Stanton!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Jackson tries for a takedown but Stanton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jackson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Stanton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jackson defends it easily.

Stanton has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jackson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Stanton.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stanton seems a little lost for a moment, as Jackson dominates the positioning.

Jackson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stanton for as long as he can get away with.
We've been informed that Stanton has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Jackson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Stanton is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Jackson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Stanton sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Jackson content to control rather than advance.
