This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Mego Kong Ho Chai! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Brown tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chai swivels and escapes. Brown shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Chai counters by clinching up. Chai jumps guard and drags Brown to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Brown controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Chai trying to control the position here. Brown has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brown works his way back into a safe position though. Brown is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. That's four minutes gone in the round. Chai is trying to control Brown 's posture but Brown avoids it. Chai manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Brown trying to pass the guard but Chai defending well. Chai wants to control but Brown is keeping busy.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Chai slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Brown wants to pass the guard but Chai is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chai trying to control the position.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Brown avoids the attempt from Chai to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brown fails to move to back control. Brown tries to control but Chai wriggling away.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brown is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
