Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ahmed Gallegos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kelton Kong!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong shoots in looking for a takedown but Gallegos manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kong's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kong drives through with a takedown into Gallegos's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gallegos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kong manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kong passes into half guard.
Gallegos wants to get back to his feet.
Kong passes to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kong moves into full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kong is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Kong extends the arm and Gallegos is forced to tap!
