Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Lang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Solomon Gill!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lang tries to sprawl but Gill drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Lang is pressing down on Gill's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Lang seems keen to control Gill's posture.
Lang is trying to control the position but Gill postures up.
Lang will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lang is pulling down on Gill's head. It's preventing any offense from Gill, at least for the moment.
Gill preventing the sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gill decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lang, up you get!
Gill gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lang counters with a stiff right hand.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Gill has eaten all the pies!
Gill dives in for a single leg takedown but Lang sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Lang avoids the head kick by Gill.

Gill shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lang has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gill is working away from the top position though.
Lang tries to get to full guard but Gill has control of the leg.
Lang wants to control but Gill is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Gill decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Gill tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lang scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Solomon Gill has been cut.
Gill misses with a takedown
and Lang counters with a stiff right hand.
Scott Lang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Solomon Gill.
Gill dives in for a single leg takedown but Lang sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gill misses with a straight right.
Lang moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Gill is rocked!
Solomon Gill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gill drops his hands for a split second and Lang immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Gill face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Lang follows up with a right hand that knocks Gill into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Scott Lang!
