Kaum's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Beethoven - Symphony No. 5. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Manfred Kaum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trent Bash!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bash bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kaum tries to escape but Bash is in control.
Kaum is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bash off and has taken his back!
You can see the frustration on Bash's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Bash breaks Kaum's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Kaum is trying to control the position but Bash postures up.
Kaum looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kaum has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bash should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kaum has tightened it up now! Bash should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Manfred Kaum was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
