Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andy Perkasa (ranked 3345 p4p, 2508 weight class) and Ciro Tavernelli (ranked 434 p4p, 348 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andy Perkasa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ciro Tavernelli!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkasa looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Tavernelli now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Andy Perkasa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perkasa tries a head kick but it misses.
Tavernelli throws a hook but Perkasa blocks it.
Tavernelli pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Perkasa looking to score a takedown here. Tavernelli is defending well but Perkasa drives through and ends up in Tavernelli's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tavernelli is on top in guard.
Perkasa is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Tavernelli stands up over Perkasa, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Tavernelli controls from within his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tavernelli is working Perkasa over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Perkasa seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Tavernelli is stalling in the full guard.

Tavernelli got a little sloppy there for a moment and Perkasa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tavernelli has managed to get both his arms back between Perkasa's legs - danger averted.
Tavernelli lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Tavernelli chips away with some ground and pound.
Tavernelli lands a couple of elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tavernelli stands and throws Perkasa's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Perkasa is trying to control Tavernelli's posture but Tavernelli avoids it.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Tavernelli is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Perkasa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tavernelli looks up at the clock and then as Perkasa takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tavernelli smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Tavernelli lands a decent elbow from side control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Tavernelli is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Perkasa will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Tavernelli in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Perkasa looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Tavernelli turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
