Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gatimu Wanjiku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 56 - 59 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nada changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wanjiku tries to avoid it but Nada manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wanjiku to the ground. Wanjiku escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wanjiku lands an overhand right.
Wanjiku lands with a slapping head kick.
Nada is rocked!
Wanjiku cracks Nada with a hook to the temple - Nada is on wobbly legs here! Wanjiku swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Nada falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Wanjiku wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Gatimu Wanjiku!
