Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ian Carter (ranked 199 p4p, 763 weight class) and Leroy Brewer (ranked 21 p4p, 98 weight class). Carter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is “Shipping up to Boston” Dropkick Murphy’s. Leroy Brewer told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leroy Brewer!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter tries to close the distance and clinch but Brewer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Carter with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Brewer to score with a decent uppercut.
Brewer lands with a straight right. Carter didn't see that one coming.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Brewer.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Carter creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Leroy Brewer's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
