Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between William Kidd (ranked 2796 p4p, 1830 weight class) and Masutatsu Oyama (ranked 383 p4p, 250 weight class). Kidd comes to the cage accompanied by Randy Dandy Oh. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Masutatsu Oyama!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kidd takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Oyama misses the jab.
Kidd throws a looping overhand right but Oyama ducks down to avoid it.
Oyama lands a slapping body shot.
Oyama throws a hook but Kidd blocks it.
Kidd misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Oyama.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oh Kidd is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oyama creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Kidd with a big uppercut! Kidd tries to clinch up but Oyama pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Kidd to the mat! Kidd covers up and Oyama unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Masutatsu Oyama!
