Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Black (ranked 3519 p4p, 4075 weight class) and Christian Carter (ranked 313 p4p, 341 weight class). Christian Carter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christian Carter!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black closes the distance and pushes Carter back into the cage.
A shot in the inside from Carter.
Carter misses with a short punch on the inside.
Black is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Carter can't fight it off and eventually Black manages to take the fight to the floor. Carter looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Black missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Black's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Carter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Black.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Black postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Black is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Black trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Black really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Black throws a big right hand that misses.
Black trying to control the position from guard on top but Carter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Black is looking to work some ground and pound but Carter has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Black throwing strikes from guard but Carter blocks nicely.
Black in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Black throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Carter works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Black throws a big elbow that misses.
Black missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Black trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Carter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Black passes Carter's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Black passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Carter!
Black is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Carter has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carter tries to hold on but Black postures up.
Carter is bucking up trying to escape but Black cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Black working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Black working the ground and pound effectively.
Carter taking shots to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Black is landing with some decent strikes but Carter is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Carter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Black. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Black working the ground and pound effectively.
Black misses with a head shot.
Carter tries to reverse the position but Black maintains control.
Carter taking shots to the head.
Carter is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Black postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Carter badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Black around the waist but Black pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Black is the winner by TKO! Black jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Black!
After the fight, Jimmy Black was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Christian Carter spoke after the fight, saying 'I had COVID'.
