Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Draco Leonidas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Whealer Van Hire!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Hire tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Leonidas counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Leonidas lands with a nice body kick.
Leonidas ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Van Hire tries to clinch but Leonidas moves away
and Leonidas counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Van Hire ducks under a wild hook from Leonidas.
Van Hire slips under a jab.
Leonidas thows a left - swing and a miss!
Draco Leonidas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Van Hire misses with a looping left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Van Hire ducks under a wild hook from Leonidas.
Despite the aggression on Van Hire's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Van Hire let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Leonidas moves into range and connects with a jab.
Van Hire moves out of range as Leonidas strikes.
Leonidas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Van Hire was well out of range. Poor timing from Leonidas.
It seemed like Van Hire was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Van Hire unleashes a big counter combination but Leonidas bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Van Hire avoids the body shot from Leonidas.
Leonidas sets himself, and Van Hire steps forward looking for the clinch! Leonidas avoids it this time.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Van Hire, as that shot connected.
Leonidas fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Van Hire has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Van Hire throws out a loose jab but Leonidas uses good head movement to avoid it.

A shot to the liver by Leonidas. Beautiful body shot.
Leonidas connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Leonidas misses with a two punch combination.
Leonidas tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Leonidas steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Van Hire.
Leonidas cracks Van Hire with an open hand slap.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Van Hire throws the kick towards the body but Leonidas avoids it.
Van Hire has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Leonidas.
Van Hire bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Leonidas looks for the body kick but Van Hire saw that one coming.
Van Hire looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Van Hire takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Leonidas throws a body punch but Van Hire moves out of range.
Leonidas closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

and Van Hire counters with a stiff right hand.
Van Hire rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Leonidas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Van Hire crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Leonidas - the referee stops the clock and Van Hire gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Leonidas. Van Hire manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Leonidas counters with a stiff right hand.
Van Hire takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Leonidas throws a hook but Van Hire avoids it easily.
Leonidas sets himself, and Van Hire steps forward looking for the clinch! Leonidas avoids it this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Leonidas looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A punch lands to the side of Leonidas 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Van Hire closes the distance looking to clinch
and Leonidas makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Van Hire really felt that one!
Leonidas throws a leg kick that misses.
Leonidas throws the left hand but Van Hire avoids the punch easily.
A low kick from Leonidas is predictable there
and Van Hire counters by clinching up.
Van Hire prevents a body shot from Leonidas.
Leonidas is trying to pull guard but Van Hire has him pressed against the cage.
Leonidas misses with a hook from the clinch.
Van Hire works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Draco Leonidas dominated that round.

Sloppy strikes from Van Hire. Those never looked like landing.

Van Hire fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Leonidas looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Van Hire lands the left hand.
Leonidas connects with a nice looking jab.

Leonidas feints and then cracks Van Hire's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Van Hire down.
Van Hire moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Leonidas looks to score with a jab to the body but Van Hire is just out of range.
As Leonidas backs off Van Hire throws a huge counter combo but Leonidas manages to avoid it all.
Leonidas connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Draco Leonidas is winning the standup battle so far.
Leonidas gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Leonidas takes a swing at Van Hire's ribcage but misses.
Van Hire slips a straight right by Leonidas.
A little jabbing left from Van Hire on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Leonidas is looking to land body kicks.
Van Hire avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Leonidas throws a hook to the side of Van Hire's head but Van Hire sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Van Hire walks forward, straight into a front kick from Leonidas.
Van Hire misses with the combination.

Leonidas misses with a lunging right hand
and Leonidas takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Van Hire takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Nice defenses there by Leonidas.
Van Hire wants to clinch
and Leonidas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Van Hire's corner calls for a 1-2. Van Hire obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Leonidas gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Leonidas is rocked!
Leonidas walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Leonidas limp body while Van Hire jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Whealer Van Hire!
Whealer Van Hire decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
