Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roland Verse (ranked 24188 p4p, 24646 weight class) and Happy Gilmore (ranked 581 p4p, 556 weight class). Roland Verse could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Happy Gilmore's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roland Verse! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Happy Gilmore! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gilmore swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A shot to the body from Gilmore misses and Verse counters with a three punch combo that has Gilmore backing up. Gilmore nods at Verse to acknowledge the strikes. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gilmore has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Verse throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Gilmore misses with a looping right. Verse was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Verse sizes up Gilmore with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Gilmore misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Verse.
Verse throws a leg kick but Gilmore checks it. A momentary lapse in concentration from Verse enables Gilmore to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Verse manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Verse has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Gilmore has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Verse is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Gilmore has Verse pressed against the cage, preventing Verse from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Verse looks to throw an elbow but misses. Verse is trying to push Gilmore away but Gilmore has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Verse gets underhooks to prevent Gilmore's takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Verse wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gilmore is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Verse is trying to break the clinch but Gilmore is controlling him. Verse is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Gilmore avoids a wild elbow strike from Verse. Gilmore's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gilmore lands with a right hand. Gilmore misses with an uppercut. Verse saw that one coming. Gilmore throws a jab but it's blocked by Verse. Some bone on bone action there as Gilmore checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Gilmore misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Roland Verse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Happy Gilmore.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Verse waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gilmore. Gilmore digs a good body shot into Verse's ribs. Gilmore throws a shot from downtown. Verse moves away and avoids it. Gilmore shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Verse sprawls well. Verse wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gilmore gets slowly back to his feet. A solid leg kick lands there for Verse.
Gilmore misses with a right hand and Verse counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Verse doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Verse misses with a wild body shot. Gilmore swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gilmore darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Gilmore slips a nice elbow through Verse's hands, connecting with Verse's forehead.
Verse is rocked! Ground and pound from Gilmore. Oh Verse is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gilmore is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Verse is hurt! He's hurt bad - Gilmore fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Verse from any more punishment! Congratulations to Gilmore! Great finish!
