Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kareem Ford (ranked 3029 p4p, 1924 weight class) and Ramazan Adaev (ranked 378 p4p, 243 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kareem Ford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ramazan Adaev!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford misses with a hook. Adaev ducked under it nicely.
We've been hearing reports that Ford has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Kareem Ford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ford tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Adaev was well out of range. Poor timing from Ford.
Adaev shoots in for a takedown but Ford shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ford throws a lazy uppercut

and Adaev counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Adaev.
Adaev wants to control from the top but Ford keeps moving.
Adaev has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Copes. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Adaev is looking to control Ford's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Adaev avoid being mounted?

Adaev pulls Ford in close to his closed guard and prevents Ford from doing any damage or advancing position.
Ford sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Adaev's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Adaev is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ford pulls his head out easily.

Ford not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ford connects with a nice short shot to Adaev's temple.
Ford is looking to take a break and control but Adaev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ford is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That was a close round but I would say that Kareem Ford will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ford misses with a body shot.
Ford jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Adaev goes for a double leg but Ford avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ford continues to drive forward.
Ford is looking for a counter combo.
Adaev is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ford sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

As Ford backs off Adaev throws a huge counter combo but Ford manages to avoid it all.
Adaev dives in for a single leg takedown but Ford sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kareem Ford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ramazan Adaev.

Ford escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Adaev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ford working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Adaev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Adaev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
