The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zofewa takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Villalobos connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Villalobos avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Villalobos looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Zofewa closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Villalobos did well to prevent Zofewa getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Zofewa is keen to just control but Villalobos is a slippery customer.

Villalobos's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Zofewa is holding on here and Villalobos must be using up a lot of energy. Zofewa has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Villalobos gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
