Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Caio Carvalho (ranked 613 p4p, 327 weight class) and Rickson Caceres (ranked 86 p4p, 46 weight class). Carvalho kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pentagono - É o Moio. Caio Carvalho could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rickson Caceres's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Caio Carvalho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rickson Caceres!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Caceres steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Carvalho.
And Caceres tries to counter it with a takedown but Carvalho pushes his down on his head and steps out.

We've been hearing good reports from Carvalho's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carvalho accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

I've got Caceres winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
