Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Stanley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marius Zaromskis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stanley comes into the arena with Tomorrow blaring out of the sound system. On his way into the cage it seems that Wayne Stanley has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Wayne Stanley seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stanley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Marius Zaromskis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zaromskis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stanley holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Zaromskis wants to break free but Stanley has control.

Zaromskis throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Stanley's head.
It looks like Wayne Stanley has been cut. Stanley tries to clinch up but Zaromskis circles away and keeps his distance. Stanley scores with a kick to the midsection. Stanley has Zaromskis up against the cage in a clinch.
Zaromskis crunches a lovely knee into Stanley's ribcage. Zaromskis takes an elbow to the forehead. Zaromskis misses with an elbow strike.

so Stanley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Zaromskis controls Stanley momentarily but Stanley frees himself. Stanley is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Zaromskis scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Stanley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Stanley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Zaromskis regains half guard.

Stanley is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Stanley perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Stanley trying to control the action but Zaromskis is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Zaromskis slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Zaromskis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Stanley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Zaromskis's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zaromskis is striking off his back. Stanley thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Ground and pound from Stanley. Zaromskis missing with punches from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Zaromskis throws a sloppy head kick and Stanley moves out of range easily. Stanley drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Stanley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Stanley is pushing down on Zaromskis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Zaromskis is fighting to maintain full guard but Stanley has managed to sneak the leg through. Zaromskis is not content to let Stanley control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stanley is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Zaromskis sees it coming and defends easily. Stanley is pressing down on Zaromskis's thigh, looking to free his foot. Zaromskis is holding on for now. Stanley throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zaromskis throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Zaromskis throws a strike but Stanley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Zaromskis with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Stanley can't handle though.

Zaromskis can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stanley controls the pace. Stanley throws a big right hand that misses. Wayne Stanley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stanley wants to control from the top but Zaromskis keeps moving. Zaromskis trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Stanley persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Zaromskis wants to sweep but no luck. Stanley thows a big elbow that misses. Stanley is looking to stand up but Zaromskis won't let him. Stanley throwing strikes but missing. Zaromskis trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! and Stanley counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Stanley prevents Zaromskis from breaking the clinch. Stanley has Zaromskis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Zaromskis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zaromskis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Stanley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Zaromskis.
A combination from Zaromskis does no damage. Zaromskis works over Stanley's head and body with a nice combination. Stanley avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Stanley counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Zaromskis is lucky that one didn't land flush. Zaromskis pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Zaromskis counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Zaromskis throws a combination that misses and Stanley moves into the clinch. Zaromskis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Zaromskis throws a sloppy head kick and Stanley counters with a nice double leg into guard. Stanley with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Zaromskis has momentary wrist control but Stanley slips an elbow through the middle. Zaromskis throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Stanley pushes down on Zaromskis's leg and manages to get into half guard. Zaromskis tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Stanley gets to his feet - back to striking we go! And that's the end of the fight! Wayne Stanley showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Stanley, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
